Well. What a rollercoaster of an autumn it’s been! Personally, politically, “pandemically”.
You know all about the pandemic. And the crazy US elections – which for me, happily, came out with the right result. But the personal rollercoaster has been a good one, as we finally moved into our new house! It has an amazing studio space and a beautiful view onto the garden.
I can see endless inspiration in this view. The blue painted wall is the perfect backdrop for my latest series of paintings – inspired by a lucky holiday to France during that happy, sunny space between lockdowns.
The new work is about sunshine; lying on the grass and looking up at clouds floating across the sky; faded stripy deck chairs; turquoise water, and brightly coloured drinks. That feeling of being at the top of a Ferris wheel with everything laid out in front of you.
Can’t wait to get into the new studio to start work on this series again. Here’s the first finished piece, completed just before our house move:
If you’re interested in this painting, or would like to see some images of it in its frame, just drop me a line. I’ll be adding this piece to my website, along with the other paintings in this small series, once all are completed.
Coming up:
I have some exciting news in the pipeline which I’ll be sharing soon.
Till next time.
Jess.
PS I would be delighted if you forwarded this post to any friends or contacts you think may like my work.
Thank you!
