Some commissions celebrate weddings, a life together, new beginnings, new homes, or for re-decoration. Sometimes I include a significant date, symbol, or even a piece of a map of a special place in the work so it captures your personal journey and makes the art extra special. If you are looking for a unique gift, but have no idea what it should look like, and are worried about commissioning something that the recipient may not like, I have a solution for you – a gift certificate. Commission a painting as a gift and the recipient will have the opportunity to tell me exactly what they want. Contact me for more details about gift certificates.

So how does commissioning a painting work?

The process is simple. I offer a free 15 minute free consultation via zoom, or facetime, to discuss what you have in mind. I can also advise on colours that would work for you home or office space if needed. 

After our discussion, you provide me with an image with the colour palette you’d like.  Anything that shows the colours you love – such as a picture torn from a magazine, or a photo of a favourite cushion. I recently completed a very successful commission using a picture of a client’s sofa to work with.

For an idea of costs, commissions are available from £500 for a 40x40cm canvas/ approximately 50x50cm framed.
